Manor, established as a respected restaurant since 1983,
is owned and run by Nigel Haworth & Craig Bancroft, the owners and
directors of the Northcote Group. The Manor has 14 bedrooms
providing warm and friendly hospitality. In 1999 the Manor received
one of the industries most prestigious awards “The Independent
Hotel of The year” from the Caterer & Hotelkeeper.
Nigel Haworth’s kitchen has a wonderful innovative
style, with a passion for detail and true honest flavours. These qualities
have
earned him an excellent reputation his personal triumphs include
Egon Ronay Chef of The Year 1995, Wedgwood Chef of The Year
1999 and membership of the Academy of Culinary Arts.
Craig Bancroft’s passion lies firmly in the wine
cellar where his enthusiasm for food and wine matching combinations
are well known. The international wine list is some 400 bin strong
with a fabulous range of half bottles created
to compliment Nigel’s gourmet menus.
